Katy Perry unveils platinum blonde pixie crop as she cuts hair EVEN shorter
Pop singer Katy Perry has just unveiled an even shorter hairstyle.
Days
after the Roar star and Lord of The Rings actor Orlando Bloom announced they
had split Katy appeared to undergo a post break up makeover chopping off most
of her hair shaving the sides and dying it a new platinum blonde shade.
But
Katy clearly wasn't content with the drastic new look as she’s now cut off even
more of her locks.
However
Katy's latest chop has left fans divided some love it and some hate it. One
commented Anyone else think Katy Perry should stop cutting her hair? She looks
awful.
While
a second said they preferred her as a brunette sharing For what it's worth I
liked your hair better when it was long & black.
But
then there were those who said they adore her new style People please #katyperry
can do what she wants She looks great All I saw when I opened Twitter today was
rants about her hair. I love it;
Meanwhile
Katy has recently been linked to Ryan
Phillippe but the actor has since shut
down any romance rumours.
And
Ryan's statement comes shortly after Katy opened up about her sexual
experiences with women.
The
chart topping singer achieved worldwide fame with her 2008 single I Kissed A
Girl but Katy admitted during a speech at the National Equality Award at the
Human Rights Campaign Gala in Los Angeles last month that, despite her strict
religious upbringing she did more than that
She shared I'm just a singer and songwriter, honestly. I speak my truths and I paint my fantasies into these little bite size pop songs. For instance, I kissed a girl and I liked it. Truth be told I did more than that.
However,
how was I going to reconcile that with a gospel singing girl raised in youth
groups that were pro-conversion camps? What I did know was I was curious and
even then I knew sexuality wasn't black and white. And honestly, I haven't
always gotten it right but in 2008 when that song came out I knew that I
started a conversation and a lot of the world seemed curious enough to sing
along,
It’s always following a breakup, a life-changing moment or…. just out of pure boredom that a girl goes through a drastic new change all beginning with her precious locks, and this week, it was none other than Katy Perry on the chopping block.
After debuting her new blonde locks on the cover of her single “Chained to the Rhythm”, it seems as though Katy wasn’t chained to that style for too long after she took to social media just yesterday, once again switching up her look with a much shorter-Miley-Cyrus-inspired the same stylist as Miley when she chose to also chop her hair back in her “Wrecking Ball” days, however Katy did admit that the inspiration for the new style came from Manchester By The Sea’s Michelle Williams. In the Instagram video, Chris reveals to Katy that he’s wanted her to try out this new look off for quite some time, and it looks like that time has finally come.
But before we all get to thinking that Katy’s recent breakup with Orlando Bloom was the sole decision-maker behind her new look, she’s already cleared up all rumors about the split, as it seems it was purely amicable.
She took to Twitter yesterday to clear the air, saying QUOTE, “How bout a new way of thinking for 2017. U can still b friends & love ur former partners! No one's a victim or a villain, get a life y'all!” Fair enough… but of course a seemingly peaceful and cordial split leads to the question of these two getting back together in the future, right? Sources told E! News that although the split was inevitable, Katy and Orlando “both still love each other very much” and that the possibility of “getting back together could happen once they have some space.”
